Established in 1992, Bird is the Word is located at: 30 S. Shumway Ave Batavia, Illinois, 60510 Phone: (630) 406-7610 Fax: (630) 406-7609 We are open 7 days a week. Store hours are: Monday through Friday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm Saturday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Sunday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm (all our feathered friends are put away an hour before we close) Four Certified Avian Specialists on Staff. We breed many of our own birds. Domestically raised babies are lovingly hand fed and socialized. Most of our birds are kept on open playgrounds. We offer wing and nail trims on Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment during the week. Wing trims are $5.00 per bird and Nail trims are $5.00 per bird. Bird is the Word carries a complete line of cages, food, toys and accessories to keep your companion healthy and happy! Come by and visit our free roaming feathered friends, check out our inventory.
